Corporate Relations Manager

Prosperity Now is seeking a Corporate Relations Manager to join our growing Development Team in executing a comprehensive development plan to broaden our base of philanthropic support, diversify revenue streams, and meet (and ultimately exceed) ambitious fundraising goals. Specifically, the Corporate Relations Manager supports institutional investment in the organization by managing the corporate grants process, including managing and tracking the writing of proposals, reports, and other deliverables for corporate funders. The position also conducts research and prepares background briefs on current and prospective corporate funders and funding opportunities; maintains corporate grant-related Salesforce data and an annual calendar of corporate grant deadlines and deliverables; and coordinates with finance, operations, and program teams on corporate grant requirements.
Accountability: Reports to the Director of Institutional Investment
  • Responsible for researching, preparing, submitting, and managing corporate proposals, reports and other deliverables that support Prosperity Now goals and meet corporate funding guidelines and criteria.
  • Assist the Associate Director of Corporate Relations with managing corporate funder relationships, coordinating compliance reporting and meetings, coordinating grant kickoff meetings, and supporting special project initiatives, such as securing sponsors for the biennial Prosperity Summit.
  • Work collaboratively with the Grants Manager on:
    • Tracking deadlines and deliverables for corporate prospects and funders by maintaining a master calendar of funding opportunities, requirements, and deliverables.
    • Executing corporate funding agreements as well as providing all necessary supporting materials and documents, including proposals and budget reports, outcome measurements and evaluations, and success stories for funder reports.
    • Tracking funding opportunities across Prosperity Now’s programmatic areas
    • Maintaining internal institutional revenue protocols, calendars, dashboards and communications channels to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
    • Maintaining records in SharePoint and Salesforce with correspondence, grant agreements, proposals, reports, and other supporting documents for each corporate funder.
  • Identify and support opportunities to secure unrestricted support from corporate funders.
  • Conduct prospect research and coordinate the effective use of contact management systems and processes to track pertinent corporate funder and prospect information, including data entry, the creation of analytic reports, and working with outside vendors.
  • Work with finance and program colleagues to support corporate grant compliance and reporting.
  • Craft compelling progress reports and targeted program updates to corporate funders that capture programmatic success and support related blog posts, press releases, and social media posts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and passion for racial and ethnic economic justice.
  • Educational background in any field of study.
  • Minimum of three to five years of experience writing and managing grant funding deliverables, preferably in securing corporate funding for a multi-issue organization.
  • Stellar written communication skills with demonstrable success creating compelling proposals to secure grant funding.
  • Experience with project management and data analysis with an emphasis on clear communications and strong attention to detail.
  • Previous experience with project management tools and donor databases and/or CRMs (preferably Salesforce); previous work with outside vendors a plus.
  • Familiarity with prospect research tools, such as iWave, Foundation Center Directory/Candid, LexisNexis, Dun & Bradstreet, etc.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while successfully meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment and may be 100% remote. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Travel: Less than ten percent
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Salary Grade/Level/Family/Range: $53,890 - 72,910
