Description

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day human resources function of the company, ensuring the overall success of the LTY vision and mission.  These duties include:

• Serve as the day-to-day contact for the firm's PEO and Human Resources consultant(s)
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices
• Assist with development and maintain knowledge of the company's policies and procedures; communicate these to employees and ensure consistent implementation and application
• Manage safety program including investigations and documentation of events
• Administration of payroll and benefits, including PTO, FMLA and worker's comp, in conjunction with PEO
• Develop and maintain job descriptions
• Oversee recruitment and onboarding of new employees including career fairs, recruiting firms, screening applicants, interviews, writing offers, compliance paperwork, and immigration sponsorships
• Implement the firm's performance appraisal process
• Schedule ongoing employee relations opportunities including staff appreciation events and volunteer outings
• Manage ongoing professional development training for employees
• Maintain employee files
• Manage the exit process for employees as necessary
• Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or executives

Requirements

REQUIRED:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Communication or related field

5+ years experience in Human Resources

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

PREFERRED:

SHRM-CP OR SHRM-SCP

Human Resources management experience, particularly in a MEP engineering consulting or architectural environment
