Description

Overview
The Sr. Manager Employee and Corporate Communications will partner with senior executives to design, implement, and lead communication strategies to enhance the employee experience, deliver critical messages and support the company's mission, values, and culture. Directs internal communications, engaging all employee communications stakeholders and ensuring that employee communications initiatives are integrated and executed in a manner that informs and engages Paychex employees. Responsible for leading cross-collaborative workstreams, assuming roles including budget management and facilitating internal employee and in coordination with external communications programs to maximize positive awareness.


Responsibilities
In conjunction with senior leadership, designs, leads, and implements, a strategic, innovative, and integrated, enterprise employee communications strategy that educates, informs, and engages Paychex employees.

  • Leads a team of managers and communication professionals to execute the enterprise employee communication strategy
  • Serves as Sr leader and strategic partner for internal communications, engaging executives, and all key stakeholders throughout the company
  • Develops communication policies, procedures, and programs to measure the effectiveness of the employee communications plan through enhanced employee engagement.
  • Partners with executives for companywide and divisional communications that assist senior leaders in executing their duties. Identifies creative opportunities for executives to communicate with internal audience(s).
  • Manages the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
  • Provides strategic internal communications direction and support for company-wide projects, programs, and processes. Ensures alignment with enterprise employee communications strategy
  • Leads efforts around communicating the company's employee brand globally and contributes to efforts to reach potential candidates through content creation, awards submissions, employee retention and more.
  • Recruits, selects, hires and evaluates performance of personnel to ensure all department needs are handled appropriately. Counsels and develops staff for personal and corporate advancement through career development, training programs and other resources as required for professional advancement and ensures effective execution of assigned responsibilities.
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent throughout the organization, internally and coordinates with our external communication team.
  • Serves as company spokesperson, or identifies appropriate leader to serve as spokesperson, for media inquiries related to employees, workplace culture, health and benefits, and employee programs to ensure consistency of messaging.


Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications; Business; Marketing - Required
  • Master's Degree in Communications; Business; Marketing - Preferred
  • Must have experience in corporate communications, ability to assess situations from all perspectives, and be able to communicate appropriately with and to diverse internal audiences. Public relations/internal communications experience
  • Prior senior executive partnership/support experience preferred.
  • Personnel and project management experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in Successful experience in corporate communications, internal communications, public relations, or related field.
